Yanmar has always provided a wide range of products to meet the needs of its customers and continues to do so with these engines. The 4TNV101 and 4TN107 result from Yanmar’s rich heritage and vast experience in developing cutting-edge diesel engine technology and show the company’s commitment to producing the very best high-power, fuel-efficient diesel engines that the market demands.

Main Features

Best-in-class fuel consumption

With Yanmar’s advanced combustion technology, engines achieve fuel consumption reductions of approximately 10 percent compared to a similar-sized engine with the same output. The improvement in fuel efficiency results in longer run times and contributes to cost savings throughout the engine's life cycle. High Power Density Yanmar has produced a robust, solid engine designed for high power output. The 4TN107 features a two-stage turbocharger with a 34 kW/L class-leading power density.

Outstanding torque

The combination of Yanmar’s advanced combustion technology and the use of the turbocharger means that both engines deliver superior torque to meet the requirements of a wide variety of industrial applications.

Compact size

The engine's compact profile ensures ease of installation. Yanmar’s proprietary exhaust-gas reduction technology results in a more compact exhaust gas after-treatment system, significantly improving visibility and operator comfort.

Maximise uptime

Yanmar’s engines use a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to reduce Particulate Matter (PM) and a Selective Catalytic Reduction system (SCR) to reduce harmful emissions. These technologies, refined through experience developing smaller engines, allow the 4TN101 and the 4TN107 to comply with EU Stage V regulations.

Wide power range

The 3.8-litre 4TNV101 after-cooled, turbocharged common rail engine produces 55 – 105 kW and 550 Nm of torque. The 4.6-litre 4TN107 after-cooled, EU Stage V compliant, two-stage turbocharged common rail engine peaks at 155 kW while achieving a maximum torque of 805 Nm. This enables customers to use their engines in a wide range of machinery with various output requirements. In addition to these newly developed high-power diesel engines, Yanmar continues to offer superior compact diesels that meet customers' needs in the under 56 kW class.

Barrus, the UK distributor for Yanmar diesel engines, will show the 4TN101 and 4TN107, along with 4TNV and L-series Yanmar engines, at Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton, from June 25 to 27, 2024. Meet the Barrus Industrial Team at Hillhead on Stand C39.
