Barrus expand scooter range with Generic

Barrus has introduced a new line of scooters branded Generic, a range of scooters that are unique in design and function. Generic Europe, an Austrian company with its own manufacturing plant in China, has quickly gained a reputation for innovative, creative designs throughout Europe.

There are currently 5 models in the range starting with the entry level 50cc Cracker at £899.00 OTR moving up to the contemporary and dynamic styling of the Ideo and XOR models designed by Gerald Kiska, the creator of KTM’s radical X-Bow car. The stylish XOR at 50 and 125cc boasts features such as a clear-glass headlight, stainless steel exhaust and alloy rims and the Competition version goes one step further with its race design and eye-catching red coated alloy rims and sporty exhaust. The XOR 50cc retails at £999.00 OTR , the XOR Competition at £1049.00 OTR and the XOR 125 at £1099.00 OTR. The Ideo 50cc has the same quality and technology as the XOR and offers stylish elegance at £999.00 OTR.

Matthew Gilder general manager of the Vehicle Division commented, “The introduction of Generic will complement the Taiwanese PGO range of scooters already distributed by Barrus enabling us to compete in the sub £1000.00 sector. This two brand strategy will help us increase our penetration in the scooter market enabling us to open up new scooter dealers.”
