Barrus supports National Motorcycle Week
Barrus are encouraging staff who are already bikers to ‘ride to work’ including two Company Directors, Tara Glen and Robert Muir, riding models from the company’s popular Hyosung range, the GT650R sports bike and the mid range commuter GT250 Naked. Kings Two Wheel Centre, Oxford, Barrus’ local dealer for Hyosung motorcycles, PGO and Generic scooters, will be on site to offer advice to staff looking to get on two wheels and provide free bike or scooter ‘Health Checks’. There will also be information available on local ‘Rider Training’ and details of the Barrus staff motorcycle and scooter purchase scheme.
National Motorcycle Week is an annual campaign that demonstrates to the public, media and politicians the importance and popularity of motorcycling in the UK, and emphasises the important point that owners are from all walks of life and that riding has social, environmental and economic benefits. This year the theme is ‘Now’s The Time’ which is aimed at encouraging more new people into motorcycling before new European driven legislation comes into force in September which will introduce new elements to motorcycle testing and training . The Ride to Work Day on the 16 July will highlight that motorcycling cuts congestion, pollution, journey times and is convenient and flexible.
