New Barrus Marine Organisation
 E. P. Barrus Ltd has put in place a major reorganisation of its Marine Divisions in order to provide an enhanced service to the dealer network and OEM’s.
The new structure will combine the inboard and outboard divisions under the General Management of Tim Hart for all non-military customers. Mark Coleman, General Manager Special Products Division will continue to have full responsibility for all marine military and commercial customers.
The sales functions for both outboard and stern drive dealers will be serviced on a geographical basis. Mariner, Mercury and MerCruiser dealers in the South of England will be the responsibility of Mick Matthews, with Paul Mellotte looking after dealers in the North of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
Mike Williams will take responsibility for all OEM’s in order to provide an improved level of technical support for Verado installations, the larger Optimax engines and MerCruiser stern drives. He will also assist with certified installations including propeller trials.
Technical Field Support will be provided by Mark Towersey and Alan Surman.
Christian Roberts will continue to look after Walker Bay dealers on a national basis.
Internally, James Hughes as Sales Officer Manager will continue to run the outboard sales office, with Tim Bennett, Service Manager continuing to take responsibility for all technical aspects and service training of outboard engines.
On the inboard side, Yanmar, John Deere and Mase dealers in the South of England will be the responsibility of Richard Burnett with Scott Henderson covering the rest of the UK and Ireland.
Technical Field Support will be provided by Joe Poulter and Steve Burns.
Chris Pearce will continue to have responsibility for all Inland Waterways dealers on a national basis for both inboards and outboards.
Internally, Helen East as Sales Office Manager will run the inboard sales office, with Jonathan Hay, and Peter Taylor, providing after sales support backed by the inboard workshops, headed by Chris Gentry.
