Cub Cadet proudly supports the Badminton Horse Trials
Published on: 26/04/2019
Cub Cadet is again supporting the upcoming Badminton Horse Trials with its easy-to-use zero-turn.
The company has sent its innovative and professional Cub Cadet XZ3 122 machine to cut the trade area before and during the event, which takes place in Gloucestershire from 1st to 5th May.
The unique zero-turn rider with a traditional steering wheel provides the unbeatable manoeuvrability of a conventional zero-turn, but with full control of the front wheels. Steering and drive are perfectly synchronised to ensure the exact speed and rotating direction of each rear wheel, whatever the position of the front wheels.
The 122cm/48” heavy-duty fabricated deck on the XZ3 122 has the versatility to mow around fences and trees with ease, whilst the low centre of gravity and wide wheelbase allows the machine to glide over uneven ground and still cut in a completely straight line across hills and slopes, making it the perfect machine to tackle the terrain at Badminton.
The advanced mulching technology incorporated in the XZ3 122 re-circulates the airflow around the cutting deck delivering effective and efficient mulching capabilities. The large side ejection deflector helps spread the cuttings over a large area.
Speaking of his decision to use the Cub Cadet XZ3 122, Badminton site manager, Harry Verney, said: “When we hold the trials each year, we are looking for machines which can deliver a high-quality cut, whilst being comfortable and easy to control for the staff using them. For us, Cub Cadet has always been the right choice. We have been using them for a number of years now and are always really pleased with the results.”
Designed to offer excellent power and performance, the XZ3 122 is fitted with a premium, professional grade Kawasaki V-Twin engine, which allows for exceptionally smooth and quiet operation. The zero-turn is also suitable for professional use as the width of the machine allows it to still fit on a standard trailer, as well as expert gardener use.
During the trials, Cub Cadet is also proud to be supporting rider William Fox-Pitt MBE, one of the most successful three-day event riders ever. Mr Fox-Pitt is a double world number one and seven-times British number one.
Ian Seager, marketing manager for Cub Cadet, said: “We are pleased to be offering our support again to such a high-profile event. Badminton required a strong yet easily manoeuvrable machine to cut the trade area and our innovative and market-leading XZ3 122 fits the bill perfectly.”
