Yanmar certified Stage V Engines at Saltex
Published on: 29/10/2019
Barrus will be showing the latest Yanmar EU Stage V emission industrial diesel engines at Saltex.
Two new engines have been added to the existing TNV family of common rail engine models which are EPA Tier4/EU Stage 3B and EU Stage V compliant.
The engines have already proved popular with original equipment manufacturers, due to their fuel efficiency, higher power density, compactness, and a DPF which needs practically no maintenance.
The two new engines are the three-cylinder 3TNV86CHT (33.3 kW at 2600 rpm) and the four-cylinder 4TNV86CHT (48.5kW at 2600 rpm). All feature Bosch and Denso common rail direct fuel injection systems, and full authority electronics.
“A key benefit is Yanmar’s unique exhaust gas management technology for the Diesel Particulate Filter,” commented John Day, General Manager of the Industrial Division. “Extremely long maintenance intervals of 6000 hours, effectively the lifetime of most machines, can be achieved by eliminating operator downtime.”
Yanmar’s versatile, compact diesel LN-Series engines will be on display. These popular air-cooled engines satisfy original equipment manufacturer’s requirements in achieving reductions in noise levels and lightweight portability. They are easy to install and maintain fitting in confined spaces without sacrificing power or performance. Like the TNV Series, running costs are low thanks to Yanmar’s proprietary direct injection technology that allows the engine to operate on the minimum amount of fuel.
These engines are suitable for applications in the landscaping and municipal sectors.
