Barrus partners with two of the world’s leading engine manufacturers, Yanmar and John Deere, who understand the exacting demands of original equipment manufacturers for high quality, performance, durability and reliability. Both brands will be showcased by Barrus at Plantworx, the UK’s only live demonstration construction equipment and technology event.

Yanmar

John Deere

John Deere is ready to run with engines meeting EU Stage V emissions. The advantages of uninterrupted power, ultimate reliability and low cost of ownership have made John Deere engines an ideal choice for construction equipment, including crushers, excavators, loaders, dumpers, generator sets and air compressors.

John Deere DPF technology has more than 900 million hours of field use experience. This fully tested long-life cycle DPF solution offers users many hours of maintenance-free service, increased uptime, reliability, and durability.

Barrus - Specialist Engineering Support

A core competency of the Industrial Division at Barrus is its flexible approach to customers’ needs. The experienced Service and Application Engineers team are fully manufacturer trained and ready to support original equipment manufacturers and in-field service requirements. They provide specialist engineering support for all projects, from custom engine builds to in-house testing and in-field application testing and service training.

Barrus will showcase the R165C5 Stage V SDMO Generator on the stand at PlantWorx. Fitted with a John Deere 6068HP550 PowerTechTM PVS 6.8L Industrial Diesel Engine, this generator is used in various applications, including tower cranes, construction sites, events, etc.

Working with WB Power Services Ltd, a provider of critical power services to some of the UK’s most important businesses and organisations, Barrus supports WB Power with its in-field service requirements for all John Deere engines. The fully mobile service team provides on-site servicing and planned maintenance UK-wide with the Bicester-based engineering workshop and testing facilities backup.

Paul Foster, Service Manager for SDMO, explained how the partnership with Barrus started, “I met John Day, General Manager for the Industrial Division at Barrus, at the Executive Hire Show in February. We discussed the services that Barrus could offer and how the team could help me expand our John Deere support. The service has been outstanding to date, and Cliff, Ian and Anthony have been a great help in supporting me.”
