Barrus stay ahead of the emission game with Stage 5 ready engines

The Industrial Division of E. P. Barrus Ltd will be making a return to Saltex this year showcasing the latest emission compliant engines from Yanmar, and Kawasaki.

Yanmar’s compact diesel engine range, designed for high-performance, reliability and durability will take centre stage. The Yanmar L-Series, air-cooled L100 and L70 engines meet the Final Tier 4 emission regulations and the EU Stage 5 regulations which will be introduced in 2019. These engines are feature packed and offer the ideal power solution for heavy-duty grounds care and forestry applications.

The Yanmar TNV-CR water-cooled engines are also compliant with Final Tier 4 and Stage 5 requirements which will limit the Particle Number (PN), thus reducing the emission of ultrafine particulate matter.

This means that no change is required to comply with the incoming regulation. Yanmar is reporting 6000 to 8000hrs service intervals on their Diesel Particulate Filter system (DPF) thanks to their TNV technology which could give some users the advantage of no service within the working life of the machine.

Barrus will also be showcasing models from Kawasaki’s FJ-D range of air-cooled, 4 stroke horizontal shaft engines. These engines are designed to provide optimum performance even in the toughest conditions. They are suitable for many markets and applications including walk-behind lawnmowers, small shredders and chippers, general turf equipment, pressure washers, pumps and generators and all general portable equipment for industrial and grounds care use.
