Significant additions to WhisperPower’s Genverter Range

WhisperPower continues to expand its range of exceptionally quiet and compact generators. The Piccolo 6 is a very small and lightweight model that takes up little space and easily fits into every 35-to-45-feet sail or motor yacht. Although the new addition is 10 centimeters lower and 14 centimetres shorter than other models, it offers just 0.4 kW less power. The fully water-cooled, variable rpm Piccolo 6 bridges the gap between the Piccolo 5 (4.4 kVA) and Piccolo 8. Its dimensions are 54 x 47 x 52 cm (hxwxd), with a weight of 145 kg, and the Piccolo 6 is fitted with a two cylinder diesel engine that complies with Stage V/ EPA Tier 4 emission standards.

As a larger variant of the Piccolo 15 (12 kW) WhisperPower are also developing the Piccolo 18, based on a four cylinder diesel engine in accordance with Stage V/Tier 4.  The fully water-cooled unit (engine and permanent magnet back-end) supplies 15 kW at an rpm of 2400 (rpm is adjustable between 2000 and 2400) at a size of 70 x 56 x 99 cm (hxwxd) and weight of 187 kg. All Piccolo models can be parallel connected in a twin setup to double their capacity.
